Great place to spend a couple of days on the motorbike. Had one stop in Hobart and this worked well. I was a bit worried about security of the motorbike overnight but parked under cover near the entrance. No problem. Very accessible to everything we needed.
You pay for the location, not so much the room. Excellent location with great views however the room leaves a little to desire, for example the location of the AC means while downstairs is at a desired temp, the bedroom upstairs is very hot and the ceiling fan isn't enough to make up for it.
The TV in our room had very poor reception so couldn't watch anything and you would expect a dedicated bath/shower at the price point. Provide a single tiny sachel for detergent was a bit cheap too I found. I don't feel at this price you should be expected to find a grocer to buy enough detergent.
I stayed in this place for 2 days, the rooms stinks from the drain, and hot water is very unstable, the aircon is bad and sometimes doesn’t work, the staff puts up a nice face but does not help you at all. And they don’t even service the room sometimes. I had to stay for 3 weeks at Old Woolstore place for work purposes and that one had no such issue at all. Not good at all
Love everything about this stay! Very nice touch with the complimentary Tasmanian apples and lavender pouch. Amazing view out of the balcony, very central and close to everything you need. Would be perfect if the shower pressure and hot water mixer can be improved (slight issue, possibly just the room).
You definitely pay for the location and NOT the room. Marketed as a 2 bedroom family room the Premier Suite that cost over $500 a night was only 1 bedroom with an open loft with another 2 single beds in it. Was travelling with my 8 year old …

This was exactly what we needed for our last two nights in Tasmania. The lovely lady at reception found us a close park for our hire car and check us in very swiftly. For location and views this is an amazing place, right on the waterfront and central to everything. Salamanca markets next door, as is the MONA ferry. |Staff were super professional and warm, particularly the young English lady who checked us in and happily informed us the room was ready early.
